freebalm began with a shift in the way I was living.
After years of working in the fast-paced world of corporate marketing, I found myself being drawn towards something slower. Something simpler. Through yoga, meditation and my study of ancient Ayurvedic wisdom, I began to see the body differently, as something that already held an incredible intelligence of its own.
I started questioning why, in a world where we are constantly told we need more, caring for ourselves had become so complicated.
More products. More ingredients. More steps. More consumption. I wanted less.
I wanted products that felt simple and purposeful. Products made from ingredients I recognised, inspired by nature and the wisdom that has existed for generations. Products that could become part of everyday life without adding more clutter to it. And so, Freebalm began.
At the heart of the brand is a simple belief: the body already holds an incredible intelligence. Sometimes, it simply needs the right support to return to balance.
Our first product was the Extra Nourishing Balm, created with just four purposeful ingredients: castor oil, jojoba oil, mango butter and beeswax. From there, Freebalm slowly grew into a small collection of considered, multi-use essentials for the skin, hair and body.
Everything we create is guided by the same intention: to nourish and support what is already there, rather than overwhelm it.
Free from complicated routines. Free from unnecessary ingredients. Free from the belief that more is always better.
For me, Freebalm is about more than what we put on our skin. It is an invitation to question the way we consume, to slow down, and to remember that nature has always provided so much of what we need. I believe there is something deeply powerful in returning to simplicity. In trusting the intelligence of the body. In choosing fewer, better things.
And in remembering that perhaps we don’t always need more. Sometimes, we simply need to return. Freebalm is a return to nature and a return to self.
with love,
